Happy Birthday, Mia!

Happy Birthday, Mia! We decided to surprise Mia with a little family party. With this being her first birthday since coming home we were not sure how she would react to a big party. We are just getting ready for birthday season in our house. Mia kicks it off! I am sure she will learn all too quickly what birthdays are all about.

She was ooooh so giddy when she found out the cake was for her.

She did a wonderful job blowing out her candles!

Loving the cake and ice cream! Her first taste of ice cream in China did not go as well as it does today. :)

What do you do to celebrate when you are away from home? Well, we just blew up balloons. They were a wonderful hit!
Everyone got in on the fun!

We took her to Build-a-Bear in Myrtle Beach. Well, what a new experience. She was very unsure about how it all worked. Though she caught on quite quickly!

She really wanted the display bunny, not the unstuffed floppy one. She was quite happy when she realized her bunny would get stuffing as well.

Giving "Bunny" a bath after her stuffing.

Bunny is all done . . . yes "Bunny" is her name.

There is everyone, once we were all done. Happy Birthday, Mia. What a sweet little girl! How blessed we are with such a happy, loving, outgoing little girl. Mia is still quite little 31 pounds and 38 inches tall. She is adjusting well to her family, it has been 4 months now. She is learning English quickly. We do still have major speech issues due to her cleft palate. Hopefully we will be able to get her the help she needs in the near future. Please pray for the Lord's guidance as we find the help that is best for her.
