All Dressed up in our Traditional Chinese Clothes. Ready to celebrate the Chinese New Year/Spring Festival.
The children and their cousins, E., N., & A. Everyone is ready to celebrate Mia's first New Year home.Do to lack of room only the adults will be eating in here.
We gave each of the children a traditional Chinese Red Envelope with money in it.
My Chinese cooking still has a long way to go, so we decided to play it safe and get "take-out". Hopefully in the future I will learn more about the traditional New Year dishes.
Made sure we had the "dumplings". A friend of mine had a group from China visiting who made the dumplings from scratch . . . maybe some day!
Everyone is enjoying the food and family!
Mia seems quite pleased, though it doesn't take much to make her happy.
Megan is good at using chopsticks!
Cousin A, What a cutie pie! He and Mia have enjoyed playing and getting to know each other a bit better this visit.
