The area where we live has a large Korean population. Many of the girls came dressed in their formal Korean dresses. They told me they dressed up in their dresses on the Lunar New Year and would bow and receive money.

A Second Grade Class. Megan had this teacher in second grade. Jonathan's class didn't line up for a picture :(. After the children went on a parade through the halls of the school saying the Chinese words for "Happy New Year" they returned to the lunch room for a treat of a mix (marshmallows, raisins & gold fish - not sure of the significance), rice, egg rolls, hot tea, and fortune cookies.
