Thank you . . .
to all of you who prayed for Jonathan!!!!
Checking out of the hospital went quickly and during the ride home Jonathan slept. He told me before we started the ride that he missed his brothers and sisters. It is so good to be home as a family. Praying for a good night for him. He has a splint in his mouth that is both cemented in and wired in this is holding his pre-maxilla in place with all the hopes in the world that it will continue to have blood supply and with the bone from his hip grow into one complete ridge. For those of you with cleft affected children out there. Jonathan was born bilateral complete CL/CP with a protruding pre-maxilla that needed to be lifted up and back. His doctor's performed two of these surgeries on the same day. There is a group of 6 little boys that are being followed by the same doctors that we see quite often in the office. One of the boys had the same surgery this summer as well The others will need just the normal bone graft surgery. He is a bit swollen and his hip is sore but thinking as the hours go by we will see improvement.
