Surgery # 5 for Jonathan

My Little Boy at 2 years old!

Jonathan, as many of you know was born with a complete bilateral cleft lip and palate. He has been a remarkable trooper through it all. He had his lip repaired at 10 weeks and his palate repaired along with ear tubes put in at 10 months. He then had bilateral hernia repair surgery at 5 years old. "T" tubes put in his ears at age 6. He is now going to have surgery to see if he has a growth of skin over one of the tubes. The doctor thinks his body is trying to reject the tube. He has had multiple ear infections these past few months along with bloody discharge. We go in tomorrow at 9:45 for surgery. Best case scenario is the tube is just blocked - pop it out and put a new one in. The worst case is that there is a skin growth. The ENT will take the tubes out let it heal and then he will have another surgery at a later time where he will go in through the bone behind the ear to remove the growth. Please pray for Jonathan as he is going through a lot right now. He is also in the palate expansion stage for his upcoming bone graft surgery to the repair the alveolar clefts in his tooth ridge.
